Tips for Exams Candidates
Salam wrt and hi!
Pejam celik pejam celik, dah seminggu lebih kita berpuasa kan? Subhanallah, time flies definitely fast nowadays. Maybe it's a sign that the Judgement Day is around the corner. It's just the time, and we're still waiting it to come.....
Anyway,
How's your Ramadhan going? Is it well? Is it filled with useful activities or just compacted by laying down all days? Toksah nak temberang.. Saya tahu korang layu je kan time puasa gini...
But, alhamdulillah. This Ramadhan falls on rainy season which means the weather is just fine for us, not too hot and we should be grateful for this. :)
Allah gives us a lot but why we always forget Him and still complain about something whatnot.
Sekadar refleksi diri..
Ok.. Actually, I want to talk about stress management especially for students. Everything that I write here is based on my own experience and I'll insert a little tips that I found from other sources.
Because I know, the critical time is slowly coming for the local schools' students. Next week, they'll face the first 'simulator' of the real PMR, (Trial PMR) and when I said 'EXAM' we'll typically relate it with 'STRESS', right? So, here're the DOs' and DONTs' which you should practice from now on.
1. Always think from the positive side
Time exam je, mesti buat confessions :
'Weh, aku tak boleh follow lah subjek ni'
'Ala.... Aku tak dilahirkan genius'
'9A? Pergh.. Mission Impossible gila tu weh.. Aku rasa Tom Cruise pun takleh buat.. Caya ah..'
'Fail! Fail! Fail! 100% sure aku memang gagal'
Tak kira lah siapa, dimana, bila, mesti fikir dia akan fail. Makan tak kenyang mandi tak basah....
Habis tu, nak biarkan macam ni aje? Of course not! You're not even wring a single sweat yet, how come you already giving up on everything?
God of Entertainment's Epic Fail XD
Failure is the first step of being successful. Trust me. It gives you encouragement and acts as a reminder that you'll never EVER fail again. See, you experience how bitter is to be a loser, and will you repeat the same mistakes and take everything against your will?
No, right?
So, stand up and revolt a new resolution,
'I'll be succeed'
'Yes, I can do it'
Because fantasy is the need of living. And that's how your brain will work.
2. DON'T take exam as a goal, but a mission that has to be accomplished.
As a Muslim, we have our eternal goal which is Jannah. Ujian ialah jalan atau cara untuk kita menambah pahala dengan menerima seruan Allah agar kita menjadi khalifah di bumi ini. Menimba ilmu hukumnya fardu kifayah. We're in a big loss if we're just being heedless about our real duties.
Way to sum up, our thinking is mostly alike and it turns out like this :
EXAM + STUDY + PILE OF BOOKS -> BOREDOM + NOTHING ENTERS YOUR BRAIN
(except you're a brainiac)
But, we forget to insert Allah among these and when you do, you'll start thinking like this :
EXAM + ALLAH + STUDY -> FUN LEARNING + BETTER FUTURE
That's why I said, don't stress. Just let the water flow and see how it ends. It's all about venture and how we see the things go that can completely change our fate.
3. Drink a lot of water and reduce the consumption of sour food.
Water gives you a lot of oxygen. You'll definitely feel fresh and boost your mood to study. Ramadhan cenggini takkan nak bawak botol air kot? So, time sahur tu banyak-banyakkan lah minum. Tapi jangan overdrinking pulak. Makanan berperisa masam adalah tidak digalakkan kerana boleh mengurangkan ability untuk mengingat pelajaran. Snacks are strictly not allowed.
MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) that contains in the snacks increases the tendency to suffer from cancer and slowing the neutrons in the brains to receive information from external sources.
4. Get an adequate sleep
Asal ada exam je, mesti tidur malam.. Kan? Sebab petang lepas balik sekolah je mesti letak beg pastu lepak di hadapan TV sambil melayan Upin Ipin dengan Spongebob. Don't lie la.
So, personally said, I prefer you to sleep after Isya' and wake up an hour or two before dawn (Subh). Udara pagi lebih segar berbanding malam dan kita pun taklah rasa penat sangat.
Last but not least
5. Perform Qiyamullail (prayers at night)
Afdhal dilakukan 1/3 akhir malam.
Jangan anggap 'Oh, 1/3 akhir malam je ke boleh buat' No no no no. Salah tanggapan saudara dan saudari. Waktu itu ialah waktu yang afdhal.. Islam kan agama yang fleksibel. Allah sentiasa memberikan kemudahan untuk hamba-Nya beribadah.. :)
When there's a will there's a way.
Wish all the best for you guys!
:D
